Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for the manufacturing unit sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing positions.
  • Manage the complete joining and onboarding process for manufacturing staff.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of PF, ESIC, overtime (OT) computation and other statutory salary-linked deductions.
  • Coordinate with payroll/finance on PF and ESIC contributions, OT calculations.
  • Ensure statutory and labour law compliance for the manufacturing unit.
  • Track attendance, leave and shift records for manufacturing staff and workers.
  • Handle contract/manpower documentation, verification and compliance.
  • Manage employee grievances, disciplinary matters and exit formalities.
  • Liaise with statutory consultants, labour compliance vendors and government offices.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and internal communication.
  • Support recruitment for IT roles (software and hardware) at the corporate office.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR databases and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, SOPs and employee handbooks.
  • Coordinate performance appraisal cycles, feedback processes and training/development initiatives.
  • Liaise with recruitment vendors/agencies and background verification agencies.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Executive or similar role, with meaningful exposure to a manufacturing/factory environment.
  • Strong, working knowledge of manufacturing/factory HR practices.
  • Hands-on experience with labour law and statutory compliance for a manufacturing unit.
  • Experience hiring for IT roles (software and hardware) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of core HR processes.
  • Willingness to learn new things and adapt quickly.
  • Good communication skills written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and other HR/office management tools.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage HR needs across both locations.
